Sales and delivery conditions

Your place(s) on the expedition will be reserved when a 20% deposit (or full payment) has been received.
Deposits are non-transferable to another year or another person.
The full payment must be completed not less than 60 days before the expedition start date.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellation by the Guest

We understand that life changes and you may need to cancel. The cancellation will only be effective from the date that the cancellation is received in writing by email. Cancellation conditions are as follows:

Up to 14 days from order – Full refund
After 14 days and prior to 60 days from expedition start date – Loss of deposit
59 – 45 days from expedition start date – 50% of trip cost
Less than 45 days from expedition start date – No refund

Refund fee: €50

Cancellation by SUPdriven

Minimum expedition numbers

Each expedition has a set minimum number of 6 participants. Our trips are normally fully booked, however if we do not reach minimum numbers we may be required to cancel your trip.
If we do not meet the minimum numbers 14 days before the start of your trip, we will cancel your trip and refund your booking.
If we are required to cancel we will not be responsible for any costs incurred from travel arrangements, accommodation etc. We recommend that you book flexible travel options and have appropriate travel insurance.

Adverse Weather

In every adventure, flexibility and adaptability are essential. While we aim to adhere to the itineraries given at the time of booking, we might need to modify them due to weather conditions. Please note that changes to the itinerary will not result in refunds or rescheduling
If we are required to cancel your trip due to adverse and unsafe weather conditions, we will fully reimburse you.
If we are required to cancel due to weather, we will not be responsible for any costs incurred from travel arrangements, other accommodation etc. We recommend that you book flexible travel options and have appropriate travel insurance.

Events Beyond Our Control

If there is any failure or delay in our expedition resulting from events beyond our control, we will not be liable or have any responsibility of any kind for loss or damage incurred by you.
“Events Beyond Our Control” means any event the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include acts of terrorism (and threat thereof), significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination, global pandemics, or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the travel destination or remain at the travel destination, labour strikes, natural disaster, fire, and all similar events outside control.

Pre-existing health conditions

We must be made aware of any medical or psychological condition that may affect your health or ability to take part in the expedition before your arrival. This includes both chronic conditions and current illness that might pose a risk to yourself or others. Failure to do so may result in your removal from the expedition with no recourse for reimbursement.

Rules

Participants must follow all safety guidelines, instructions, and rules provided by SUPdriven and its guides during the expedition.

You must act responsibly and sensibly at all times and not to disrupt the safety enjoyment of others on the expedition or 3rd parties.

You must refrain from participating in any activities of our expedition if the state of your health and fitness or any prescription medication you may be taking is likely to physically or mentally impact your ability to undertake expedition safely.
You must not participate in our expedition if you are under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. 
You must follow any safety warnings or instructions given by any SUPdriven guide. You should ask the guide(s) if you are in doubt or need clarification.
If in the Expedition Guide’s opinion your behaviour is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any other customers or any third party, or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion to transportation, SUPdriven reserves the right to terminate your booking immediately with no further liability to you.
You may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and you will be liable for any damage or losses caused. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to SUPdriven prior to departure. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us because of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you.

Insurance

Medical: It is strongly recommended that participants have personal insurance coverage for any injuries or damage that may occur during the activity. Your insurance should include adequate protection for medical treatment. In the event of an emergency, SUPdriven will seek medical treatment for you and we are not financially responsible for any associated costs.Guests are responsible for all costs related to their own medical expenses or repatriation.

Travel: We strongly recommend all guests have appropriate travel insurance that protects them for cancellation and loss of luggage. If for any reason you travel without adequate insurance cover, or are unable to travel, we will not be liable for any losses arising.

SUPdriven is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the activity. Please secure and insure your valuables appropriately.

Assumption of Risks

By participating in our adventure SUP expedition, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with these activities, including but not limited to injuries, equipment malfunctions, and changing weather conditions.

When participating in our activities, you agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless SUPdriven from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.

Dispute Resolution

Your booking with SUPdriven and these terms and conditions are governed by and will be interpreted under the laws of Sweden.  The courts of Sweden will have exclusive jurisdiction to rule on any disputes or claims which may arise. 

Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy.

We will never sell or share your data with a 3rd party.
We will only use your personal data for essential contractual uses to carry out the service you request from us such as processing and manage your enquiries and bookings; providing you with information and updates related to bookings you have requested; to provide customer service and support; to provide you with information after your expedition such as request for feedback; to proive you with information about other SUPdriven events.
All electronic transactions and information are handled with secure encrypted technology through Stripe.

Reservations and Restrictions

SUPdriven:

(0) reserves the right to cancel any activities, or places on any itinerary, substitute hotels or leaders, when necessary, or advisable, without prior notice;

(1) may remove or alter, without penalty, any activities in order to ensure safety and proper handling of the activities;

(2) shall not be responsible for any cost arising from any emergency or evacuation involving my safety and I agree to pay all such costs and any other expenses related thereto;

(3) reserves the right to decline to permit me to participate or continue to participate in any activities if it judges me to be incapable of meeting the rigours and requirements of participating in the activities, or if my actions or deportment impede trip operations or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other trip members. A refund based on cost of unused land services is the limit of the Operator’s responsibility;

(4) reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure and is hereby released from any and all liability for cancellation of any trip, or portion thereof, except for payment of a refund as set forth in the section on “Cancellations and Refunds” on the registration/order form.

(5) shall not be held liable for damage to or loss of personal property or for time or expense incurred, or for any irregularity which may be occasioned through acts of any company and/or persons engaged in the activities;

(6) reserves the right to take photographs and film records of any of their trips and may use any such records for promotional and/or commercial purposes, and I waive and release the Operator for any liability or compensation for the use of my image.

Informed Consent

I certify that I am physically fit, have the necessary skills, and have received proper instruction to safely participate in the selected water sports activity.

I understand and acknowledge that the activities may involve physical exertion, which may result in injury or aggravation of pre existing physical injuries, conditions, symptoms or congenital defects to participant.
I acknowledge that I have been asked to declare if I know or suspect that my physical condition may be incompatible with the activities.
I acknowledge I am required to the use of personal floatation devices as safety equipment during the paddling activities, however potentially dangerous conditions exist which are beyond the control of SUPdriven including, but not limited to: weather, water or nutrition contamination, exposure to sun, tetanus, Lyme disease and other diseases, pandemics, encounters with animal.
I acknowledge I have been strongly advised to purchase full travel insurance which covers medical emergencies, evacuations and trip cancellation.
I release SUPdriven from any and all liability for any property damage or personal injury to any third party resulting from my participation in the activities;

This Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity;

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any litigation involving the parties to this Agreement shall be brought within the state and legislation of Sweden.
